AOL

  1. Click on the Settings tab on the AOL toolbar
  2. Click on the Toolbar option
  3. Tick the clear history trail and Auto complete after each time I sign off or switch screen names box
  4. Click on save
  5. Clear the history trail by pressing CTRL + H and clicking on Yes

Firefox

  1. Go to the task bar near the top of your screen and click on Tools
  2. Select Clear Private Data
  3. Click on Clear Private Data Now

Internet Explorer

  1. Go to the task bar near the top of your screen and click on Tools
  2. Select Internet Options
  3. Click on Delete Files, check the Delete all offline content box and then click on OK
  4. Finally, click on Clear History and then Yes

Netscape

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Preferences
  2. Click on Navigator and choose Clear History
  3. Select Advanced, then Cache and click on Clear Disk Cache

Opera

  1. Go to the task bar near the top of your screen and click on Tools
  2. Select Delete Private Data
  3. Click on Delete

Safari

  1. Go to the Edit menu and select Empty Cache
  2. Click on the Empty button
  3. Go to the History menu and select Clear History

Please note: these instructions may not completely hide your website visits. The most private way to find information on the internet is to use a computer not connect to you personally, eg at library, a freind's house.
