Why we must provide HIV treatment information

Go to contents

Most people who test HIV-positive go through similar experiences.

The shock of diagnosis, isolation, denial, sometimes prejudice.

But almost right away there is the need for information:

• How long will I live?
• Can I get treatment?
• Does the treatment work?
• Are there side effects?

This web presentation is based on a book with photographs by Wolfgang Tillmans. It follows a global meeting held in Cape Town in 2006 organised by the Treatment Action Campaign, South Africa and HIV i-Base, England.
