World CAB is a forum for treatment advocates to meet with pharmaceutical companies over pricing and access issues. Members attending meetings represent advocates form the International Treatment Preparedness network, which includes over 300 advocates from over 100 countries.
The first World CAB in February 2004 was held to enable people living with HIV/AIDS in the developing world to voice their concerns about drug pricing and research practices in their regions to senior executives of the multinational pharmaceutical industry.
The second meeting was held in January 2005 for advocates to meet with four generic manufacturers on similar issues.
Reports from World CAB meetings are available as a PDF to download.
